Animals

LYRICS
Big ol’ dog in the
back of that car
Can you tell me just how far
he’ll have to hold his water?

The animals we are and
the aminals we have
cohabitate quite peacefully, you know -
it means so much to me.

Bite the hand that feeds you.
Blind the eye that sees you.

Underneath the dresser
beady little eyes
sheltered from the world
she never says just why it is she hides away
for days without end
won’t come out until when
she knows it’s over

Bite the hand that feeds you.
Blind the eye that sees you.
Bite the hand that feeds you.
Blind the eye that sees you.

Big ol’ dog in the
back of that car
Can you tell me just how far
he’ll have to hold his water?

STORY BEHIND THE SONG:

One day Matt and I were driving in Plymouth, Indiana. I noticed this vehicle in front of us had a freaking huge dog in the back. I started thinking... I knew I had to go... so maybe the dog did, too, but its stupid human wanted it to go bye-bye. That got me thinking about all the stuff we put our pets through and the neuroses they develope because of it all. One of our cats really does hide under the dresser at the slightest noise.
